Description
Sound familiar?
- The accident book is a scrap of paper in the van.
- Not sure if an injury has to be reported to the HSE, or by when.
- Near misses never written down, so the same thing happens again.
What the Trade Accident & Incident Book does
Log every accident, near miss and first aid given with the date, time, site address, job ref, who was involved and what happened. Each entry flags when it may be RIDDOR reportable and why. The RIDDOR Checker asks eight plain yes/no questions and gives the deadline for each answer. Print a one-page incident report for any entry, and the Dashboard shows entries, reportable incidents and open actions.

Trade Accident & Incident Book FAQ
Does it report to the HSE for me?
No. It helps you decide and shows the deadline – you report online with the HSE (or by phone for the most serious cases, as the HSE explains).
Is it only for firms with staff?
No – self-employed people have RIDDOR duties too in some cases, and members of the public get hurt on sites. The checker covers both.
Is it GDPR friendly?
Accident records are personal data. Keep the file private and password-protected, and only keep it as long as you need to.
Do I need Microsoft Excel?
No. It works in Microsoft Excel, or free in Google Sheets.
Is it a subscription?
No. It is a one-off payment and the file is yours to keep. There are no monthly fees.
I’m not good with spreadsheets. Is this for me?
Yes. You type into the yellow boxes and everything else works itself out. There are no formulas to write, and the PDF guide walks you through it.
Can I see it before I buy?
Yes. Look through the screenshots above. Your download includes a filled-in DEMO copy and a full PDF guide as well as the blank spreadsheet.
Does it work on a Mac, iPad or phone?
Yes on a Mac: use Excel for Mac, or open it free in Google Sheets in your web browser. On an iPad or phone you can open it in the free Excel or Google Sheets app, but a computer is easier for setting it up.
Can I get a refund?
Because it is an instant digital download, I can’t offer a refund once the file has been downloaded. If the file is faulty and I can’t fix it, you were charged twice, or you received the wrong product, I will put it right or refund you. See the Refund Policy.
